There's no way I can make a nice character so the main character is mainly based on the https://snoblin.itch.io/pixel-rpg-free-npc modified to be a mage.

I made this game alone as my first game in Godot. This was a nice way to get hands-on experience with the engine.

I like the lie-truth concept for progression! Indeed, there are  aren't obvious things  in the game, but I had fun playing!😊

Simple but efficient idea, as an Isaac player this instantly triggered by Isaac reflexes!

I'd have just added a way to see our stats values (like in Isaac) and pushing a bit on his dialogue that Mr Goblin isn't exactly sure of his work. "Huh, I think the yellow potion is good? The green one is probably bad..."

Also, the conditions to get healed and the effects of leveling up are not very obvious from the player's perspective

Still, I had a lot of funs playing it!

Thanks for the feedback! Whew, for now my UI making skills are heavily lacking haha. But I agree - a Brotato style list of attributes would have been helpful for sure.

That's fair! This is how you learn after all, you'll figure it out 😄
